Who we are
Fleet Counselling is a registered charity in England and Wales, number 1013342, at The Rear Entrance, 3 Daleham Gardens, London NW3 5BY. We are the data controller for information collected through this website.
What we collect
If you use the enquiry form we collect your name, your email address, a phone number if you give one, your preferred means of reply, and whatever you write in the message box. If you email or telephone us we hold what you send or say in your message.
Why we hold it
Only to reply to you and, if you go on to become a client, to arrange your appointments. We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone outside Fleet except where the law requires it or where there is a serious risk to someone’s life.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to counselling are deleted within twelve months. Client records are kept in line with BACP guidance on record keeping and then securely destroyed.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own and does not track you. Typefaces are served by Google Fonts and the map on our Find us page is served by OpenStreetMap; both of those providers will see your IP address when the page loads.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to us at the address above or email fleetcounselling@yahoo.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Counselling records
What you discuss in a counselling session is separate from this website and is covered by the confidentiality agreement you make with your counsellor at your first appointment.
